Research in Chemistry Experience (RiCh)
Chemistry Research in your First Year
Detroit Mercy’s Research in Chemistry Experience (RiCh) gives first-year students the opportunity to dive into real chemistry research from day one.
The program includes two courses taken during the student’s first year:
- Fall Semester: Introduction to Research Methods in Chemistry and Biochemistry (CHM 1980) -- Learn the basics of how scientists conduct research.
- Winter Semester: Research in Chemistry Lab (CHM 1150) -- Participate in a research-based general chemistry lab and perform experiments.
