Future Engineering & Science Students

Students outside the Fitness Center

When you study engineering and science at University of Detroit Mercy, your college experience is about so much more than what you’ve learned in the classroom — it’s about taking that knowledge and using it to make your mark on the world.

Our students are encouraged to get involved in research projects and build an online portfolio from their freshman year on, and co-op opportunities mean you’ll graduate with real, paid work experience. Don’t worry if all this seems a little overwhelming — our dedicated faculty members will be there to offer support and guidance every step of the way.

Our students don’t just envision a better future — they build it.

Points of Pride

Our 13-to-1 student/faculty ratio means you’ll never be just another face in a crowded lecture hall. Not only will your professors know your name, they’ll be accessible to you when you need them.

We have student clubs and organizations to meet almost any interest.

We’re proud to call Detroit home. Our location offers students plenty of opportunities live out the mission of the University by helping others, and puts us in close proximity to major corporations at the forefront of the tech industry.

All of our programs are accredited by the applicable accrediting organizations. That means you can trust the quality of education we offer.
