Readying Professionals in Mobility

The Readying Professionals in Mobility (RPM) program is an initiative of Detroit Mercy’s College of Engineering & Science (CES) to assist Michigan-based mobility companies to initiate or develop their student internship programs.

Recognizing the importance of professional internships for developing the future mobility workforce in Michigan, the RPM program is supported by the Detroit Regional Chamber Foundation and MichAuto to expand the availability of such opportunities while providing students the skills to acquire and be successful in their internships once obtained.

Smaller companies and start-ups may not have had the time, resources, or experience to initiate and maintain dedicated internship programs. The RPM program leverages the infrastructure and experience that CES has developed from the operation of its over 100-year old co-op program to aid such companies in the process of hiring and maintaining a student internship program.
