There are many scholarships available to current Detroit Mercy students. Below is a partial listing of both internal and external scholarships generally available for engineering and science students.

Ford Engineering STEaM Scholarship

U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are from under-represented populations or female or demonstrate financial need with a high GPA of at least 3.0

Science & Engineering Equity Development (SEED)

U.S. citizens or permanent residents who demonstrate financial need (Pell grant eligible) and have a strong high school academic record

FIRST Robotics Scholarship Program

Be a senior in high school; have participated on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team or a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team, be admitted to Detroit Mercy’s Engineering program as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor of Robotics and Mechatronic Systems Engineering; have a minimum ACT of 23 or a combined SAT score of at least 1000 and a GPA of at least a 3.0.

Continental Teves

Awarded to incoming engineering major. Based on academic achievements.

Hank Nickol-Alpena

New freshman or transfer student from the Alpena area studying engineering . Min 3.2 high school gpa for entering freshman;min 3.0 Alpena CC gpa for transfer students.

The Alex Sutaruk Scholarship

Student must have a declared major in mechanical, electrical, civil or chemical engineering. Students must be either sophomores or juniors and demonstrate financial need and academic merit.

Society of Women Engineers - UDM chapter

Female engineering student; active in SWE chapter.

Harry Fuller Memorial

2nd year Civil engineering student; 2.0 gpa minimum and financial need.

Undergraduate civil/environmental engineering student; Sophomore or higher standing; minimum 2.8 gpa
