Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition

Each year, undergraduate and graduate students in the Electrical and Computer Engineering programs compete in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC).

The competition includes several exciting challenges:

  • Autonomous Challenge
  • Design Challenge
  • Navigation Challenge
  • JAUS (Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems) Challenge

Detroit Mercy teams are highly competitive and have earned first-place awards in this international event. Students gain hands-on experience building and programming autonomous vehicles while working in teams.
