Senior Design
The Electrical Engineering Senior Design Course gives students the chance to take on a real-world, open-ended project. It brings together the many skills needed for professional success, including
- project planning
- FEMA analysis
- teamwork
Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV)
One of the most exciting parts of the program is the Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV) design competition.
This competition-driven project offers students many benefits:
- It builds excitement and motivation through friendly competition.
- It challenges students to work on a multidisciplinary design, combining mechanical and electrical systems, power electronics, sensors, software and control systems.
- It mirrors industry experience, requiring teams to meet deadlines and solve complex design problems.
- It includes advanced systems such as vision, obstacle detection, path planning and feedback control — perfect for both undergraduate and graduate research.
Through this course, students gain hands-on experience, collaborate across disciplines and prepare for real-world engineering challenges.
