VICEROY Cybersecurity Award Program

The VICEROY Cybersecurity Award supports transfer and graduate students interested in careers with the U.S. Government or Department of Defense. The program helps students studying engineering and computer science.

Eligibility:

  • Transfer students who want to earn a graduate degree in Vehicle Cyber Engineering.
  • Graduate students who want to earn a graduate certificate or degree in Vehicle Cyber Engineering.

Requirements for undergraduate Transfer Students:

  • Enroll in Detroit Mercy's Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics & Mechatronic Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering program.  Plan to complete the Vehicle Cyber Engineering graduate certificate or a related graduate engineering program. 
  • Interested in employment within Department of Defense or the U.S. Government
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum 3.00 undergraduate GPA
  • Note: Accelerated Bachelor's to Graduate Certificate / Master's Degree programs are available and require a 3.25 undergraduate GPA

Requirements for graduate applicants to VCE master's degree or graduate certificate:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field. (In some cases, prerequisites may be needed.)
  • Interest in employment within Department of Defense, U.S. Government or roles that support these functions.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum 3.00 undergraduate GPA

    • Undergraduate students complete the transfer application. Select one of the following majors: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics & Mechatronic Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Graduate students complete the graduate application and select Vehicle Cyber Engineering program (masters or graduate certificate).
