There are many scholarships available to current Detroit Mercy students. Below is a partial listing of both internal and external scholarships generally available for engineering and science students.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
Science & Engineering Equity Development (SEED)

U.S. citizens or permanent residents who demonstrate financial need (Pell grant eligible) and have a strong high school academic record

FIRST Robotics Scholarship Program

Be a senior in high school; have participated on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team or a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team, be admitted to Detroit Mercy as a full-time student majoring in any Engineering program or Computer Science; have a minimum ACT of 23 or a combined SAT score of at least 1000 and a GPA of at least a 3.0.
Clare Boothe Luce Scholarship Student of junior standing as of the coming Fall term enrolling (or enrolled) in computer science or an engineering discipline at Detroit mercy; college-level GPA of 3.0 or higher. Priority will be given to transfer students. 

I-RISE with U-RISE

  • Attend the University of Detroit Mercy as a full-time student in the fall term that they begin the I-RISE with U-RISE program
  • Are enrolled in a major related to the biomedical sciences (such as Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Psychology, and Biomedical Engineering)  
  • Demonstrate an interest in the diversification of the biomedical research workforce

VICEROY Cybersecurity Award Program

The VICEROY Cybersecurity Award Program at University of Detroit Mercy supports transfer and graduate students who have interest in working for the U.S. Government or Department of Defense pursuing engineering and computer science programs. 

HRC Scholars Program

  • Open to student in the Architectural Engineering/ Civil Engineering program
  • 4-year scholarship
  • Annual Engineering Summer Internship (3 years)

Ghafari Scholars Program

  • Open to student in the Architectural Engineering/ Civil Engineering program
  • 4-year scholarship
  • Annual Engineering Summer Internship (3 years)
