Minors in the College of Engineering & Science
At the University of Detroit Mercy we realize you may have interests outside your declared major. Whether you are in the College of Engineering & Science or not, you can choose and declare a minor in another subject area. Your minor will also appear on your university transcript.

Minors in the College of Engineering & Science:
An Actuary Science minor offers a blend of courses in statistics, mathematics, business and economics.
A minor in Applied Mathematics helps demonstrate your ability to think critically, logically, and creatively. In applied mathematics, the primary motivational factors are scientific, technological, computational, or social, with an emphasis on practical application and usefulness to other disciplines.
Bioinformatics is a new and rapidly evolving discipline that has emerged from the fields of Molecular Biology and Computer Science.
Biomedical Design bridges the disciplines of engineering, biology and medicine to design and implement systems or devices capable of enhancing human function and meeting patient needs.
A minor in Computer Science will complement any field of study with computing knowledge and promote computational thinking enabling you to apply computing skills to your prospective field.
Admission to the Mathematics Minor is currently on hold.
