What influenced your decision to serve on the Board?
I appreciate the excellent education I received from Detroit Mercy. After working for many years I've have grown to understand how the broad exposure in academic fields outside my Engineering major aided me throughout my career.
Biographical Profile:
Graduated with a BEE from University of Detroit in 1984, and worked as an engineer until moving into product management leveraging my engineering and economics training from University of Detroit. I founded Intrinsa which was acquired by Microsoft and founded On-Link which was acquired by Siebel Systems while living in Silicon Valley. Coming out of retirement I was a Strategy consultant for Accenture until retiring in 2005. I have spent the last 10 years volunteering in my church, my community schools and a variety of other charitable organizations. I currently chair the Budget Task Force for Fairfax County schools, a $2.7B system in Northern Virginia.
