What influenced your decision to serve on the Board?
I am a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy (ME '86). When I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Kuleck I felt the desire to support him in the mission of returning greatness to the College. I am a strong believer in Jesuit education for Engineers and I want to be part of supporting Detroit Mercy in the mission of developing "Men and Women for Others".
Biographical Profile:
Born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Attended Canisius College in the pre-Engineering program and transferred to University of Detroit in 1984 to complete my studies in Mechanical Engineering. I chose Detroit Mercy because I was looking for a Jesuit Engineering School and I wanted to move to the "Motor City" because of my love for cars. I was privileged to Co-op under Mr. Bill Kozyra at the Budd Company and his guidance and mentorship served to reinforce my zeal to be an Engineer. I started at Chrysler Corporation in 1986 in the Chrysler Institute of Engineering Program in Highland Park. I've been afforded the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects of increasing scope, complexity, and geographic impact. Currently I am the Director responsible for the development of the future Large Vehicle Architectures at FCA. My wife Christine and I have been married 25 years and we have been blessed with 3 amazing children (Jack Jr., Timothy, and Megan who remain the focus of our life.
