Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP)

DAPCEP

The Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) is a non-profit, Detroit-based organization whose mission is to generate excitement and prepare under-represented minority students for careers in engineering and science.

University of Detroit Mercy offers Saturday morning programs on five weekends in the Fall and Spring.

Approximately 700 students in the 4th through 12th grades take courses in math, science, computers and engineering.

The College of Engineering & Science and DAPCEP have partnered for more than thirty years educating hundreds of students from Detroit.

Detroit Mercy is the leading institution in number of students enrolled.

In addition to DAPCEP’s Saturday programs, the College offers more intensive summer commuter-camp programs for students interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
