Are you looking for a unique summer opportunity and experience what it's like to study on a college campus?

Design thinking is at the forefront of creative problem solving and brings new meaning to empathy, ideation, prototyping and human centered design.

Design Thinking is being applied to products, services, processes, physical locations, and virtually anything that needs to be optimized for human interaction. It draws upon logic, imagination, and intuition to create desired outcomes that benefit both customers, and the enterprises and organizations that serve them.

You will learn to innovate everyday products and processes in an immersive, engaging and fun hands-on experience.  New for 2018, you will learn CAD and experience 3-D printing.  Under the guidance of world-class engineering faculty, students will work in teams on a daily creative exercise as well as learn and apply the principles of Design Thinking. Through field trip experiences, students will see how innovation and creative principles improve past, present and future human life.

Participants will be immersed in:

  • Design Thinking principles, concepts and characteristics
  • The Five Stages of Design Thinking Framework
  • Defining challenges and creating design plans
  • Creating, sharing and experimenting through prototyping
