The McNichols entrance will close for renovations beginning October 7.

The new entrance will provide an engaging perimeter and enhance our identity with a large welcoming archway displaying the University’s name.

One of the oldest buildings on campus, Lansing-Reilly Hall, will serve as the foundation to create an engaging perimeter.

The west arm of the arch symbolically culminates at the Chapel with its beautiful stained-glass windows reflecting the University’s Catholic identity.

Operationally, the new face of the McNichols entrance will allow better access to campus.

Incoming vehicles will have two lanes eliminating the need to line up on McNichols Road.

The project is expected to be complete in early 2016.

During the renovation, a temporary entrance will be available farther east toward Fairfield near the Multi-Purpose Athletic Field.
