Short-term teaching opportunities in China

October 01, 2015

The University of Detroit Mercy’s (UDM) College of Engineering & Science seeks adjunct instructors to teach engineering courses in China.  There is a particular need for electrical and mechanical engineer instructors.  All courses are taught in English.

As part of an agreement with Chinese universities, UDM instructors teach a class for three or eight weeks at reciprocating Chinese universities.  Typically, these teaching assignments are in: March/April, May/June and December/January each year.  This is an ongoing opportunity each year.

Typical courses include: mechanics, design, basic electronics, digital circuits, microprocessors, and a number of other areas relevant to electrical and mechanical undergraduate majors.

The hosting Chinese university covers travel and living expenses.  Compensation for teaching the classes will be commensurate with the teaching duties and duration.

Please apply with a cover letter stating your credentials and a CV.  Be sure to include which type of assignment  (three or eight week) you might be interested in.

To submit your documents for consideration or if you have questions regarding this opportunity, please contact Dr. Shuvra Da, dass@udmercy.edu.
