Mr. Carney has a Bachelor's of Civil Engineering, University of Detroit Mercy, 1993 Mr. Carney's professional experience was 2 years at Hatch Associates, Buffalo, NY where he worked on large transportation projects such as the Vermont/Beverly Station, Los Angeles Metro Red Line and Detroit/Windsor Train Tunnel Enlargement. Then Mr. Carney was at Giffels-Webster Engineers, Rochester Hills MI for 5 1/2 Years working with municipal clients doing water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer & road projects such as the 2 MGD expansion of the Commerce WWTP, Review of private development projects, and Design of large pump stations. Currently Mr. Carney is at City of Rochester Hills doing design of water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer & road reconstruction; review and approval of private development projects, and Infrastructure rehabilitation projects.

"As a Municipal Engineer it is not only my job to best design projects, but to develop projects that best serve the needs and desires of my community. Infrastructure can be used to encourage development, slow development and control development. I must work closely with Planning and Building to ensure quality developments which meet the communities expectations."
