The University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) and Ford’s partnership in the Ford UDM-DAPCEP Scholarship program aspires to encourage students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education programs to prepare for college programs while still in high school and strengthen the preparation of a diverse workforce for engineering; science and technology to maintain sustainable communities.
The Ford UDM-DAPCEP Blue Oval Scholarship supports high achieving students from financially challenged backgrounds to choose the University of Detroit Mercy for career preparation. The scholarship provides meritorious DAPCEP students with an incentive to enroll in a curriculum in the College of Engineering & Science that continues to inspire careers in engineering. This year, two incoming freshmen will receive $10,000 their first year of study in engineering, science or technology at the University of Detroit Mercy.
