Summer co-op student featured in promotional materials

February 27, 2018

Detroit Mercy’s engineering co-op program is well-connected with international, national and local industry partners which helps students obtain summer co-op opportunities.  One such partner, Wade Trim, offers students experience in civil and environmental engineering projects.

Senior civil engineering student, Brian O’Hara, spent the past three summers as a construction intern at Wade Trim and is featured in the company’s printed recruitment brochure.

“I’ve been able to work on both state and municipal projects,” said O’Hara.  “Being a part of a project from start to finish that has helped me develop my knowledge of the industry, and has provided me valuable field experience that can’t be taught in a classroom.”

The engineering co-op program at Detroit Mercy is the third oldest in the United States.
