Chemistry faculty and students published

Dr. Mark BenvenutoUndergraduate chemistry and biochemistry students, Justin Pothoof and Grace Nguyen ’17 along with Drs. Mark Benvenuto, Dawn Archey and E. Prasad Venugopal wrote two chapters published in the American Chemical Society Symposium Series, "Elements Old and New: Discoveries, Developments, Challenges, and Environmental Implications."

The chapters were:

  1. Justin Pothoof, Grace Nguyen, and Mark Benvenuto.  It’s All in the Sludge: Elements That Are Always By-Products, pp.111-117, in: Elements Old and New: Discoveries, Developments, Challenges, and Environmental Implications, ACS Symposium Series 1263, Washington, DC, 2017, e-published.
  2. Justin Pothoof, Grace Nguyen, Dawn Archey, E. Prasad Venugopal, and Mark Benvenuto.  Element 118: Teaching A New Element to New Students, pp.195-201, in Elements Old and New: Discoveries, Developments, Challenges, and Environmental Implications, ACS Symposium Series 1263, Washington, DC, 2017, e-published.

In addition, Benvenuto was a co-editor of the publication.
