The Chemistry Club held its final summer BBQ event known as “Hot Dog Tuesday” Tuesday.

More than 200 students lined up for free hot dogs, homemade ice cream and information about the club.

“This is an opportunity for freshman to meet club members and find out about what we do,” says Grace Nguyen, president.  “We encourage students to ask questions not only of club members but also in class.”

Students who spoke with club members and completed the club’s form receive extra credit in a chemistry course.

“Bonus points are available to students who meet club members,” says Dr. Benvenuto, chair of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  “It could help your grade with a difficult course.”

The club meets on Tuesdays in the Chemistry Building lobby at 1 pm.
