“Humor in Uniform” featuring Dr. Mark Benvenuto is the subject of a Veteran’s Radio program hosted by Dale Throneberry which aired on April 10.

Twisted Tales of VMIWho better than Benvenuto, chair of the Chemistry and Biochemistry department, to offer humor about his service in the military.

Benvenuto takes a humorous irreverent look back at his four years at The Virginia Military Institute in “Twisted Tales of VMI.”

”A word or two of caution, dear reader,” reads the Preface.  “This is a compilation of stories of times at VMI, a little college in Lexington, Virginia with a big foot print. Plenty of folks have written some memoir of their college years, but this is probably very different precisely because VMI is very different from most other schools. That can be a source of great pride or eternal puzzlement, depending on you point of view, and how sober you are when discussing it.”

If you missed Benvenuto’s radio performance, the program is archived on the Veteran’s Radio website, veteransradio.net.

Copies of Benvenuto’s book can be purchased from Amazon.
