About 20 engineering students attend the first day of the North America International Auto Show (NAIAS) for a Town Hall with Ford Motor Company President, Mark Fields, on January 11.

Ford Motor Company invited students to attend the premier automobile event to experience the NAIAS, learn about future trends and interact with company executives.

“I can’t think of a better venue for our students interested in engineering careers to have access and the ability to ask questions of the Ford President,” says Dr. Nassif Rayess, Associate Dean of Research and Outreach.  “The College of Engineering & Science has a long-standing relationship with Ford.”

Ryan Seacrest, television personality and a Ford marketing partner, was on-hand to answer questions and engage the next generation of engineers.

“This is a great opportunity for me,” says Sarah Mauser, sophomore in civil engineering.  “I can’t thank UDM and Ford Motor Company enough for this experience.”
