More than 200 students lined up for free hot dogs outside the Chemistry Building today.

The event, sponsored by the Chemistry Club, provides an opportunity for students to learn about the club while gaining extra credit points for their class.

“This is an opportunity for freshman to meet club members and find out about what we do,” says Grace Nguyen, president-elect.  “We encourage students to ask questions not only of club members but also in class.”

Students who speak with two club members and complete the club’s form receive extra credit in a chemistry course.

“Bonus points are available to students who meet club members,” says Dr. Benvenuto, chair of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  “It could help your grade with a difficult course.”

The club meets on Tuesdays in the Chemistry Building lobby at 1 pm.
