What influenced your decision to serve on the Board?

Dean Kuleck was my colleague in the Biology Department at LMU till he left to become dean at Detroit Mercy in 2012. During those years, we taught courses and wrote grants together, among other efforts. And so, when he asked me to join the Board, I was happy to do so.
